High Rollers Weekend 2011 FEB 24-27

Posted by Brigham

We are in 2011. Which means, we can celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Brigham’s Bees Scooter Club!

And to make the 10th anniversary of the Brigham’s Bees the best EVER, we are pulling out the red carpet for the high rollers weekend by getting a BBSC party house. That’s right, a party house.

We have reserved a party house just outside of the rally area where we can relax, play some pool, swim, and most importantly, away from the shanty smoke filled hotel rooms!

The rally folks are offering 120$ for the weekend at their discount smelly rundown hotels. I’m only asking to cover the cost of the house for the weekend. 70 BUCKS GETS YOU A SPOT IN THE HOUSE!

Just like last time, the first people to pay, get a bed. If we can get over a certain amount of people in the house, I’ll just pass the savings onto everyone!

There is a limit as to how many can fit in there, so RSVP by clicking here if you are interested in having a spot in the house. Payment at paypal [at] brighamsbees dot com will confirm your bed/floor spot.

This house will be the ultimate party house for the weekend, so get in, party, come home with the best memories you have ever had! Ladies and Gentlemen… it’s Sinatraphenia time!

No mater how many times you go, there is always more to do or see in Sin City. No matter how late you stay up, the city can still dish out more than you can handle. The Europeans say it best… “There is no other scooter rally in the world like Vegas”.

A great Friday and even better Saturday night venue is in store with vendors from all over, great bands, show and shine, raffle, gymkhana, rides, events, International DJs and Vegas itself.

Last ride of the season Oct 16th

***RIDE HAS BEEN MOVED TO LEAVE AT 4:00PM***

It’s been another great year for the Brigham’s Bees! Being in parades, featured in magazines, and only two members got in accidents! After all the shenanigans that have happened, I’m relieved/glad/sad to announce the last ride of the season: Ride to Utah Lake State Park.

We will gather round at 3:30 PM, and then leave at 4:00PM from the infamous Crest Gas Station in Provo, down center street, and a short ride to the state park. We will hang, talk, take some last photos, and exchange info for the winter.

Afterwards, we will head over to Boo Crandall’s and grab some dinner and then close the season. Be sure to come yall. It may be a short ride, but I can guarantee you that it will be worth it.

Be sure to RSVP Via Facebook by clicking here, and we will see you all there!

Ride to Crystal Hot Springs

Posted by Brigham

This ride is going to either kill you, or make you a legend. Either way, it will give you a BBSC “Insane” badge for participating.

The second to last ride of this scooting season will be to the Crystal Hot Springs in Honeyville. After google mapping our EXACT route, it will be an estimated 4 hours from the Crest Gas Station in Provo to Honeyville (Including pit stops). So be prepared to be riding that long!

We will be leaving Friday, at 4:00PM from the Crest Gas Station in Provo to Salt lake where we will gas up and have a brief dinner at someplace cheap and quick. But probably not fast food. We need ACTUAL food to make the rest of the trip.  We should arrive between 8:00 and 9:00PM at the campsite where we can set up our tents, swim in the hot spring pools, and share stories till our bodies give out on us. We will wake up Saturday morning, have some breakfast, and enjoy some more swimming. Afterwards, we will take off in the early afternoon back home. For those who want to stay till Sunday for an extra night, please email Sean (sean [at] brighamsbees.com)

This will be one of the most intense rides of the season, so have your scooters serviced if needed and pack some warm clothes, your tent, a sleeping back, and whatever else you think you will need for this trip.

Sorry! So busy! Can’t talk about the greatest rally in Utah Valley! Check it out here!

Ride to India Fest – Sept 18 @ 3PM

Posted by Brigham

India Fest is one of Utah valley’s more interesting events. And the ride there is always great!

Summer is slowly coming to a close, and what better way to spend those last days then on a scooter ride to Spanish Fork to celebrate Ramayana! Last year, we ventured off through some local roads to the Krishna temple to sing and dance. This year, we are heading up a little early to take part in the events before the sun goes down! And if you haven’t been, now is your chance!

Meeting at the best gas station in the universe, we will fuel up and leave at 3PM. There is an admission to park inside, so make sure to have cash on you! There is food inside too. Most of which should be vegan friendly!

If you don’t want to feel the need to eat the food at the festival, there are plenty of places outside that you can eat at, so there is no reason for you not to go!

Brigham’s Bees Ride to INDIA FEST!
September 18th

Meeting at 2:30 PM, Leaving at 3:00 PM

The Brigham’s Bees are in SLUG MAG (NEWS)

Posted by Brigham

That’s Right folks. Nate “That dude with the epic mustache” Perkins has written an awe inspiring article for SLUG magazine about the darker/crazy side of scooter culture, and The Bees along with many other clubs are featured inside of it!

This article shows the harsh side of the Utah scootering scene and in my opinion, captures alot of what the scooter scene has to offer. It’s not all about beer and skinheads. It’s about the love of scooters!

A quote from the Article:

I’m riding through American Fork Canyon as part of an event hosted by the Brigham’s Bees Scooter Club—Utah’s most active scooter club. It’s a chaotic collective of scooter enthusiasts who get together every two weeks or so for rides and barbeques.

Not only do they do local rides around Utah Valley and Salt Lake City, but in recent months they’ve participated in rides as far south as Moab and as far north as Antelope Island. Although occasionally known for their out-of-hand partying, the Brigham’s Bees work to maintain a reputation as the friendly, harmless scooter club in Utah. But the striking sight of twenty scooters howling down the road makes quite an impression.

Be sure to pick up a copy of Septembers SLUG Magazine at your local alternative underground place, or read it online at http://www.slugmag.com

Ride to Lincoln Beach! Sept 4th @ 4

Posted by Brigham

Provophenia 2009 brought all scooterists to a really cool area which is unexplored by most. A dusty road, a mainly dried up beach, and a place where you can cause havoc. So I figured, why not make it a ride?

September 4th, we will be leaving from the coolest gas station known to man (Crest Gas Station) to Lincoln Beach to ride around and enjoy the weather as it starts to cool. Afterwards, we will make a stop at a burger joint of some sort for dinner.
